Frequently asked questions
Why a subscription instead of a one-time purchase?
Home improvement is an ongoing process, not a one-time event. NestStep delivers value over years through maintenance reminders, property memory, and evolving project plans. A quarterly subscription keeps the price accessible and the product improving.
What happens if I cancel?
Your account moves to read-only mode. All of your data is preserved and you can still view everything. You can export your data at any time. Resubscribing restores full access immediately.
Will I lose my data?
No. Your data is stored locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server unless you use the Couples plan, which requires cloud sync. Canceling never deletes your data.
Can I use NestStep with my partner?
The Couples plan is coming soon. It gives two people linked accounts so you can independently rate priorities and plan projects together, with cloud sync and decision reconciliation.
Can I get a refund?
If you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. No questions asked. Subsequent quarters can be canceled before the renewal date.
What if I only need NestStep for a few months?
That's fine. Subscribe for one or two quarters while you're in the thick of your renovations, then cancel. Your data stays in read-only mode so you can always come back to it.
